Here is another clayboard drawing. Notice it is unfinished. I do that a lot. I saw this as a woman, but, like many of these drawings and paintings I have been making lately, there is a bit of androgeny going on. I don't intentionally draw them like that, it just happens. I am probably trying to strike a balance between the masculine and feminine. But what I really enjoy, is watching my subconscious surface in these drawings. It is happening more and more lately. More on that later....

I can't help but wonder ow many hours it takes to add all the detail to those images. Over what time period is a drawing like this created? It's awesome!

Thanks for your comment. This drawing was several sittings of an hour or so at a time. It is an 8 by 10 inch surface, and not all filled in, so it hasn't clocked too many hours. Maybe that is why I have such trouble finishing drawings like this, I get all worked up in the beginning, and then, hours later, I start to lose interest. I should probably save the best part for last,( the face), but that would take too much self control!!!!!

Hey, Jackie,
I have a photo I want to send you. It is an aged, fabulous person-in-a-tree I photographed in the Hoh Rain Forest on Washington state's Olympic Penisula. Your wonderful forest person made me think of it. Love your blog.
