The technology in the construction is mind boggling to me. The author and pop-up engineer, Kyle Olmon, is a total wiz...and a really great to work with....and SO patient with me!

This is one of the last pages from "The Gingerbread Man", recently completed for Benchmark Education. I used acrylics for this book, which gives the illustrations a very rich look to the color. I did get a bit washy in the background and sometimes used watercolors for the washes. What a fun time I had painting this old classic! ]]>

This is my new book published by Holiday House, "ONE TRACTOR" written by Alexandra Siy. My scanner bed is too small to fit my name on the bottom of the cover, but I really am the illustrator.
This book was so fun to work on, thanks to the freedom allowed me by my editor. A wild band of tiny pirates and a flying mouse join a little a little boy and his toys in this counting book.
